Boyd Natural Flex Latex Ultra 980 mattress, also known as 8000, is the top of the line of latex mattresses made by Boyd Specialty Sleep. Even though it carries term "Natural" in its name only a portion of the mattress is based from natural material. It features 3 layer construction - polyurethane foam core, talalay and dunlop latex layers. Some of the layers offer improved ventilation by proprietary channel vented system. There are several models in Latex Ultra collection with various heights (14"-11") where the tallest, most expensive mattress, model 980, offers 6" Talalay latex layer and the least expensive model 955 only 3". 20 year limited warranty.

We don't recommend buying a foam mattress unless you know the height, density or ILD of each layer this mattress was built with. Height and density of a foam layer determines the quality and durability of this layer. Overall quality and durability of the mattress is only as good as the quality and durability of its components.
