Spaldin Sleep Systems recently achieved an important first in North America with the awarding of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I certification (the highest level human ecological requirements presently established for baby articles) to parent company Industrias Tobía in Spain.
According to Oscar Valdemoros, CEO of Spaldin Natural Sleep, the certificate covers not merely components used to make pillows and mattresses, but covers the entire line-up of finished sleep products marketed in North America. “We are the first company marketing in North America with a certification covering our branded, finished mattresses and pillows, not merely the components we use to manufacture our product lines”, stated Valdemoros. “In fact we are one of the first companies to receive authorization on a brand-wide level internationally”.
