LEXINGTON, Ky. — Tempur Sealy International plans to standardize its full-replacement warranties on premium bedding lines at 10 years, a top company official told Furniture/Today.

Rick Anderson, executive vice president and president, North America, for Tempur Sealy International, said the new warranty program, which goes into effect March 1, is designed to build trust in the company's brands and reduce consumer confusion.

With the change, Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, Sealy Optimum and Sealy Posturepedic models will all have 10-year full-replacement warranties, and the pro-rated portion of those warranties, which extend some of the total warranty lengths to 25 years, will be eliminated, Anderson said.
