Sleep Train to buy America’s Mattress stores in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii — West Coast bedding specialist Sleep Train has agreed to acquire the nine-store America’s Mattress chain here, a deal that will give Sleep Train entry into the Hawaiian market.

Fast-growing Sleep Train, based in Citrus Heights, Calif., said the deal is expected to close later this month. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition includes five stores on the island of Oahu, two stores on the Big Island in Kona and Hilo, and one each on the islands of Maui and Kauai.
